Red Anthurium – One Dozen

Red anthurium is the classic Hawaiian flower.  A brilliant and long lasting bloom the red anthurium is a remarkable tropical flower when it is added to any assortment or displayed on it’s own.

Keep them at room temperature and change the water frequently and your anthurium can last two weeks or more.  Makes a stunning gift for Valentine’s or Christmas.

The color comes from a spathe that is the heart shaped, colored part of the anthurium. The actual flowers are tiny and present on the spadex. That is the long spike in the middle. Look closely you will see spiral of tiny flowers when as the stem matures. These flowers are used both as cut stems and as plants for indoor or outdoor landscaping. Keep them from temperature extremes both too hot and too cold.

Add single stems to another assortment or save by the dozen in several sizes.

Most ornamental flower displays will use medium sizes. For a more impressive display select large or extra large. Just take care they do not overshadow the other flowers you might use due to the size. For very large flowers we can find you exposition sized red anthuriums. Some of these approach the size of dinner plates so plan your occasion for using them with that in mind.
